These photographs were taken on May 6, 2011. A friend ventured out in a small plane to view from above the high waters of Table Rock Lake and Lake Taneycomo. Look closely and you can see the Branson Belle, Moonshine Beach and the Dewey Short Visitors Center. An overhead shot shows only treetops are visible of the small island just off-shore form the Branson Belle’s home dock.
Some of the photos clearly show the mudslide on the earthen embankment of the dam. Repairs had already begun at the time these photos were taken. Highway 165 is closed over the dam while these repairs are being made. Remember you may still take a tour inside Table Rock Dam, tours are temporarily departing from Ride the Ducks on West Highway 76 in Branson.
