Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation invites everyone out to the new Dewey Short Visitor Center at Table Rock Lake for two upcoming programs! The visitor center is located at 4500 State Highway 165, Branson, MO. These programs are FREE and open to the public!

WILDFLOWER HIKE- Saturday May 19, 2012 at 9:30am

Join us for a guided hike along Lakeshore Trail to discover many beautiful Missouri wildflowers. You’ll learn the names of your favorite flowers and be able to distinguish them from other plants. Participants are welcome to bring a field guide and/or camera. Please dress for the weather and meet at the Dewey Short Regional Visitor Center. Ages 12 and above. CLEAN CREEK CRITTERS- Sunday, May 20, 2012 at 1:00pm.

Unless you are in a swimming pool, there are all kinds of creatures sharing the water with you when you swim! Come find out about the creatures that call a creek home. More than just frogs and fish, water in the Ozarks is full of life – some things as tiny as pin heads! You’ll learn all about the critters hiding under the rocks in the stream and why they are important for finding out how healthy the stream is. Arrive ready to get your hands dirty and learn! of the new Dewey Short Regional Visitor Center

at Table Rock Lake

Dinner features fabulous gourmet food stations & reception with catering by Chateau on the Lake Resort and specialty cocktails by Parlor Eighty Eight. Valet parking, strolling entertainers, music, tours of the LEED qualified facility and fireworks over Table Rock Lake complete this evening of fine dining and entertainment. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to be the first guests inside the new Class A visitor center!

Donation of $150 per person is required, with proceeds benefiting projects of Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation. Reservations are required and space is limited. Please contact the foundation office at 417-334-6394 to make a reservation.

About the Foundation-

Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation is a 501(C)(3) Not-For-Profit Corporation.

Our goal is to educate the public about Ozarks waterways, promote stewardship of the natural environment, demonstrate the importance of hydroelectric power, promote water safety and encourage responsible interaction with nature while providing for the enjoyment of the area. The foundation’s operation is financed through product sales, fees, Table Rock Dam Tour ticket sales, and donations. Revenue collected by the foundation is reinvested in the Table Rock Project.

Ozarks Rivers Heritage Foundation is proud to maintain a cooperative agreement with the US Army Corps of Engineers to operate facilities at Table Rock Lake, including the new Dewey Short Regional Visitor Center.
